I had not realized...

Shaara helped me to realize that men were sent from other countries to actually observe the war. I suppose I knew that other countries would be very interested in what was happening during the Civil War. Yet, my reading has led me to a deeper understanding of our interconnectedness with the countries of the world. What one country does truly changes the world. Who is watching the United States now? How are we changing the world?

    We know today that whenever anything happens in the US, that reporters from around the world gather to report back to their countries. But it is hard to believe back in the Civil War times, the same thing was going on.
    Are they here just to report or are they here to pass judgment?

    I was raised by the Canadian Boarder and often listened to their news. I was very interesting to hear their comments on what was going on in the States. Made me wonder often what was really the truth on different subjects.
